Steve Coogan's US comedy about a depressed middle-aged man has been cancelled after only one season, thanks largely to poor ratings.  Happyish was originally intended to be a vehicle for Philip Seymour Hoffman, who even filmed a pilot, but Coogan took over after his death.  With Showtime's reputation for backing shows with poor ratings, it's a bit of a surprise they didn't give Coog's a shot at season 2.
