It was a big night at last nights Emmy Awards for Game of Thrones as, for the first time, they won best drama series, along with 11 other awards to break the record for the most won by a series in a single year.  It was a great night for HBO overall, who won 43 awards in total, more than any other network, while John Hamm finally won best actor for his portrayal of Don Draper in Mad Men after 8 years of defeat.  The story of the show, though, has to go to Viola Davis who made history as the first black woman to take the prize for Outstanding Actress in a Drama for her role in How To Get Away With Murder.
