Vinyl premièred on HBO in the US last week, and despite the dream-team producing combo of Martin Scorsese working with Mick Jagger, plus Boardwalk Empire creator Terence Winter, ratings were disappointingly low.  Just over 750,000 people gave it a watch, as the show went head to head with the mid-season première of The Walking Dead and got a beat-down.  Critic reviews have been mixed for the rock and roll drama, but the good news for Jagger and friends, is that after one episode HBO has renewed Vinyl for a second series.
